Deep restorative massage

Studio session
For when your body feels like it’s been doing a bit too much for a bit too long.
This longer, more focused treatment is designed around recovery, ease and helping you feel more comfortable in your body. We’ll pay attention to areas that feel tight, tired or overloaded, without turning the session into a test of how much pressure you can tolerate.
This may be a good fit if you:
feel generally stiff, heavy or run down
have areas that regularly feel tight or overworked
do repetitive physical work
spend long periods sitting, standing or driving
want a fuller-body treatment rather than one focused area
are recovering from a particularly busy or physically demanding period
want regular maintenance to help you feel more comfortable and mobile
Your treatment may include flowing massage, compression, deeper work where appropriate, more targeted techniques and gentle assisted movement.
The pressure and pace will be adapted to you on the day. Some areas may benefit from firmer work; others may need something slower and gentler.
The aim isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to give your body some proper attention, help ease everyday tension and create space to recover.
Your first appointment starts with a quick chat so we can understand what you need, what you’re comfortable with and anything relevant to your treatment.
No performance. No guessing. No need to know the “right” massage language.
During your treatment
You’ll have privacy to undress to your level of comfort and you’ll stay appropriately covered throughout. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Before we begin, we’ll agree:
the areas you’d like worked on
anything you’d prefer us to avoid
your preferred pressure
a position that feels comfortable
what you’d like from the session
You can ask for more pressure, less pressure, a different position, a different area or a complete stop at any point.
And no, you do not have to make conversation.
Quiet is always welcome.
Massage should feel like something being done with you, not to you.
After your treatment
You may notice some mild tenderness or increased awareness in areas that have been feeling particularly tight.
It should never feel severe.
If anything feels sharp, unpleasant or difficult to tolerate during the treatment, tell us. We’d much rather adjust than have you grit your teeth and hope for the best.
Afterwards, gentle movement and regular breaks from long periods of sitting can help you hold on to that sense of ease a little longer.
